Anthony Lemont Thomas Sr., 65, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016. He was born to the late Donald Herbert and Zula Mae (Boatright) Thomas in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Anthony graduated from Arsenal Tech High School. He continued his studies learning the Greek Language at Liberty University and the Hebrew language at University of Jerusalem. Anthony was an accomplished man and lived by his faith. He dedicated his life to serve his lord and savior. Anthony was the state of Georgia Evangelist Minister for many years. He was a pastor of churches in Savannah and Bloomington, Georgia as well as assisted in churches throughout the state of Georgia. Anthony was a licensed elder through PAW and fulfilled his position as Elder in the state of Florida. Anthony attended Mt. Zions Apostolic Church with his wife Shirley for many years.

Anthony’s greatest joy and accomplishment was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ann (Darring) Thomas. Anthony and Shirley were married on September 30, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana and had a wonderful 48 years together. He will be deeply missed by his six children; Antoinette Yarborough, Anthony Thomas (Diane), Crystal Wilson (Jeffrey ), Jearld Thomas(Chelsea), Sherry Ware(Ryan). Anthony was a proud grandfather to Anthony Lemont Thomas III, Donald Anthony Thomas II, Shirley Ann Thomas II, Shantell Yarbough, Jessica Olivia Thomas, Isaiah Sineon Thomas, Aaron Benjamin Thomas, Jamal Jeffrey Wilson, Dashawn Erwin Wilson, Xavier Lemont Wilson, Shayanne Aron Thomas, Savannah Rose Thomas, Jerald Aron Stanley Thomas, Jazzmine Sky Thomas, Faith Krystyne Ware, Destiny Makayla Ware and Ryan O’Niel Ware Jr. Anthony will also be missed by his aunts and uncles; Ralph Thomas, Lelia Beaman, Lowell Thomas, Floyd Thomas, Virginia Bradford, Ronald Thomas, Elaine Bebley and Ruth Eubank. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Preceding Anthony in death was his son, Donald Anthony Thomas Sr.; aunt and uncles, Henry Stanley Thomas, June Gilbert, Raymond Thomas and Robert M. Thomas.
