Larry Foulke Obituary

 

Larry M. Foulke, 86 of Sheridan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday September 11.

He was born on April 7, 1937, to the late Russell and Hidreth (Williams) Foulke in Noblesville, Indiana. Larry was a graduate of Westfield High School, Class of 1955, after high school he attended Purdue University where he began studying Agriculture. After two years of college Larry joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. After returning home from serving, he married the love of his life Anita (Biddle) Foulke on September 20, 1969, at the Methodist Church in Sheridan, Indiana; and the two of them have been at each other side for 54 years.

Larry was taught the value of hard work as a child; he worked his family farm with his father until he joined the Army. When he returned home, he began driving a truck and he did that until he retired after retirement it didn’t take him long to go back to work, he started working at Target stocking shelves and unloading trucks. One thing his grandchildren will never forget is he use to bring them home popcorn from Target.

Family was the most important thing to Larry, and he never missed his grandchildren’s events especially his grandson Logan’s football games at Noblesville, and he always look forward to spending time with grandchildren. On Sundays Larry could be found watching Nascar, very rarely did he ever miss a race.

Larry is going to be greatly missed by his family, he leaves behind his devoted wife Anita, their two daughter’s Juanita (Richard) Amerman, and Kim (Kameron) Shoffner. He was a loving grandfather to Jessica (Justin) Edwards, Jason (Camila Mendez) Endsley, Jennifer Endsley, Brianna Shoffner, Logan Shoffner, and Kamdon Shoffner. He was a proud great grandfather to Merecedes Mace.

Preceding Larry in death is his brother Norris and sister-in-law Wilma, his brother Arnold, his sister Linda and his two brother-in-law’s Larry Taylor and Bill Cox, and his nephew’s Mike Isenhour and Bill Foulke.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 14, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Fisher Family Funeral Services located at 508 E. 6th Street in Sheridan, where family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 am till time of services. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Atlanta, Indiana.

Pastor Jeff Elliott will be officiating Larry’s service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation 911 E. 86th St. Ste 100 Indianapolis, Indiana 46240 or by visiting www.kidney.org .
