Obituary

Annetta Mae Stone (Ogle), 82, of Sheridan, Indiana went to be with the Lord on Thursday June 3, 2021. She was born in Noblesville on August 8th, 1938 to Charlie and Mildred Ogle. She attended Sheridan High School where she met the love of her life, Billy Stone, and the two married at the Wesleyan Church on December 18th, 1960. After High School, Annetta furthered her education through Marion College, which eventually led to her obtaining her Master’s degree through Butler University. She loved her job as an English teacher and poured her heart into her lessons. Ann utilized every opportunity to help a child grow and develop; inspiring curiosity in her students as they, in turn, bestowed her with a sense of accomplishment. She started her teaching career in the Westfield Public School System for seven years, and later became a substitute teacher for the Sheridan Public School System for 20 years. Throughout her life, she enjoyed the fellowship and sharing of faith encouraged by Northview Church in Carmel, IN., and the Six Points Wesleyan Church. Ann could often be found reading her Bible in preparation for her Bible Study group. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. One of her favorite things to do was to travel across the United States with her husband. During these excursions they would go camping, site seeing, and live in the moment together. Some of her fondest memories were from her travels to Texas and Alaska. When she wasn’t at Bible study or traveling, Ann enjoyed reading, writing, working in her garden, and most importantly spending quality time with her family. Left to cherish Ann’s memory are her husband, Bill; children, Bruce (Diana) Stone of Fairland, IN., Barry (Stephanie) Stone of Vincennes, IN., and Brad Stone of Sheridan, IN; sibling, Dale (Patricia) Ogle; grandchildren, Zachary, Kristin, Kaitlyn, Brent and Jackson Stone; and great-grand child Miles Crider. Ann was preceded in death by an infant son, Brent Wayne Stone. The funeral service will be held in her honor at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Six Points Wesleyan Church located at 1545 W. 226th St. Sheridan, Indiana 46069. Calling hours will be held at the church the same day from 11a.m. – 1p.m. After services have concluded, Annetta will be laid to rest in Crown View Cemetery. For those who will not be able to attend her service there will be a Facebook live stream.
