Bishop Randy Adams Obituary

Rev. Randy D. Adams, 70, of Noblesville was called home on Sunday April 16, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family. Randy was born on March 28, 1953, to the late Charles D. and Bobbi Jean (Coker) Adams in Florence, Alabama.

At a young age, Randy and his family moved from Alabama to Indiana. After settling in Indiana, they began attending the United Pentecostal Church in Huntington, IN. It was there that Randy met the love of his life (Pastor James Riggs's daughter) Kathy. The two of them were married on June 28, 1975, and have been at each other’s side for the last 47 years.

While Randy attended church with his family at The United Pentecostal Church in Huntington, he knew that God was calling him into ministry and Pastor Riggs took Randy under his wings and began mentoring him; he eventually served as the Assistant Pastor at The United Pentecostal Church in Huntington. Randy first received his ministry license through UPCI and later he became licensed with ALJC in 2002. During Randy’s ministry he was called to serve at New Life in Terre Haute, where he served as the Assistant Pastor. He then went to serve as Assistant Pastor at Family Praise Center in Noblesville, and he then was called to serve as Pastor of The Pentecostals of Westfield where he served from 2002 until his retirement in 2021. Upon his retirement, he was proud to obtain the rank of Bishop and that his son-in-law Pastor Troy Bibbs assumed his role as pastor of the church.

Randy and his wife Kathy have spent their life spreading the word of God and touching a lot of lives through their years of ministry. It was because of their faith and foundation that their two children followed in their footsteps.

Randy leaves behind his loving wife Kathy (Riggs) Adams, their two children Missionary Tony (Rhonda) Adams of Krakow, Poland, and Shelly (Pastor Troy of The Pentecostals of Westfield) Bibbs of Noblesville, Indiana. He was a proud grandfather to Macy (Tristen) Willis, Brock Adams, Londyn Bibbs, Gage Bibbs, and Lincoln Bibbs and his brother Jack (Nancy) Adams and Sis-In Law Candy Adams (wife of brother Dwight). He was an uncle to several nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his three siblings Dwight Adams, Charlene Adams, and Jeffrey Adams.
