Brennen Mackenzie Smith, 26, of Sheridan, passed away on August 22, 2023.
He was born on August 8, 1997, to Rush J Smith II and Gina Gubocki, who survive him.
Brennen was very creative and loved working with his hands and being outdoors. He worked in landscaping and construction and enjoyed helping friends and family with various projects. He had a caring, giving heart and loved his family and friends, fiercely. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed skateboarding, playing basketball or gaming. Brennen would never turn down a game of chess against his brother, Graftin. He enjoyed listening to music and even playing the drums on occasion. He was an amazing cook and especially enjoyed cooking for his family. He earned the nickname “Pizzaboy” because he made such awesome pizzas!!
Brennen’s family and friends will always remember how funny he was and the pranks he would pull on them. The one thing they will never forget is his infectious laugh that brightened everyone’s day.
Brennen leaves behind his father, Rush Smith,
his mother, Gina Gubocki and second father, Kevin Gubocki.
His siblings David (Jennifer) Gubocki, Kristen (Christopher) Falzone, Bryce Williams, Zac Smith, and Graftin (Anna) Gubocki. He was a loving grandson to Clem “Poppy” and Eve “Babi” Cook, grandmother, Rosie (Rodney) Wright. He was a nephew to Michelle “Auntie M” White, Bill Jones, Joseph Gubocki, Montive (Bill) Darnell, Aunts, Amy (Wesley) Hickson, Abby (Rob) Moore along with several other aunts, uncles and cousins, he also leaves behind his family dog Daisy, who loved her boy dearly. Preceding Brennen in death is his grandfather, Rod Coapstick, grandfather, Rush J Smith I, his grandmother, Joyce (Oshie) Smith and his grandmother Mary L. Gubocki.
Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the Fuel Church Westfield Campus, located at 18686 Eagletown Rd. Westfield, IN., Family and friends are invited to gather at 10:00 am and services will begin at 1:00 pm. A private family graveside service will take place following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to End Our List 317 W Jefferson Street, Kokomo, IN 46901. This is a program that helps those in need of treatment but cannot afford it.
