Lavern M Parks

Lavern M. Parks of Noblesville, Indiana; passed away on February 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 27, 1934 to the late Melvin and May LaFern (Glassburn) Parks in Goshen, Indiana. 

Lavern was a graduate of Goshen High School, Class of 1952; after high school he enlisted and proudly served in the United States Navy and did so honorably. Lavern married the love of his life Joyce (Canen) Parks on November 26, 1955 in Goshen, Indiana. Lavern was a truck driver, the last 20 years he drove for Tucker Freight in South Bend. 

When Lavern finally decided to retire from trucking, he was able to put more time into wood working, he was a skilled wood worker, he made and repaired furniture. He looked forward to going to Whitehouse Donut Shop every morning to visit with his friends. 

Lavern and Joyce loved traveling and had seen several states together, the two of them enjoyed going to Florida. Lavern leaves behind his wife Joyce of 65 years, their four children Lori (Daryl) Campbell, Randy Parks, Craig (Kathy) Parks and Brad Parks. He was a loving grandfather to Joshua, Matthew, Jennifer, Brendan, Ariel, Skylar and Dakota. He was a proud great-grandfather to Cleo, Troy and Maive. Preceding him in death is his son Brian.
